Message the BEST way to have addressed this was covered by Russell:
Russell's post

While you may have posted replies with either your best, or light-hearted intentions....it's appears you may be trying too hard to make a case for the Ashspec ECU. You know this forum well enough by now to realize that you're not going to convert those who are staunchly set in their own camps for which ECU they prefer to use.

One could argue that you've replied to prevent those unfamiliar with your ECU from being prematurely disenchanted with it and I wouldn't disagree. But, IMHO, your efforts to do this tend to cross over the line towards badmouthing the competition.

Russell nailed it when he posted his reply asking the person to call Z1 to discuss what the Z1/Ash ECU can offer based on what the person's desired performance requirements. Then call the other mfg'rs to compare features. That's the correct position to take vs. trying to reply to every post to make your case.

Lastly, implying that JWT is too big to care by not surfing tt.net is not fair. For example, the same case could be made for Nissan - does anyone working for Nissan post on tt.net defending why the Z32 was designed the way it is? Is this a sign that Nissan is too big to care? The same could be said for many other aftermarket parts suppliers for our cars. Yes, it is great when there is a presence on this forum from involved site sponsors such as you, Russell, COZ, Boost-solutions, etc. - I recognize this as an advantage to us as we can voice feedback that can help improve new products for our cars. But I do not see JWT, or other silent mfg'rs as being elite, or uninvolved with the Z32 community. I'd much rather have them working on the product vs. surfing tt.net and taking 4 weeks to get something done when it should have been done in 2 weeks.

As usual, this is meant not as an attack but as useful feedback.

Sincerely,

Dave N.
